About Leigh

Leigh Foley was born in northern Florida. As a girl, she was enamored with books and read anything she could get her hands on. She also had an amazing high school English teacher who inspired her students to read and appreciate stories from different cultures and times. Mrs. Fabrizio, if you’re reading this, know that you’re the best!

 

After high school, Leigh joined the United States Marine Corps. Afterwards, she earned her bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD in criminal justice, with a focus on victimology and social media. She was a first generation college student who started at her local state college, and went from there.

 

Leigh lives on Florida’s Treasure Coast with her 3-time Grammy-nominated drummer husband, her two children, and their five fur babies.
